Professional Background:
Mark entered the profession in 2001, having completed a Masters degree in biochemistry from the University of Bath.

During the course of his degree, Mark spent six months at Plant Breeding International in Cambridge working on genetic marker assisted selective breeding in plants, and six months at the University of Florida exploring the roles of protein glycosylation on nuclear import and export mechanisms. Upon completion of his degree, Mark spent time in medical sales with Abbott Laboratories and clinical trials with Novartis, before joining a London based firm of patent and trademark attorneys in 2001.

Following 4 years working in London, Mark joined a firm of patent and trademark attorneys in West Sussex, before joining our Horley office in October 2006.

Mark has experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications in both the biotechnological and mechanical fields, with a particular emphasis on UK and European practice. Mark also has experience of UK and EU registered design and trademark prosecution, together with global recordal of IP ownership transfers.
